Favorites to win NFL Coach of the Year

Kevin O’Connell (+140 to +145)

Many sportsbooks had O’Connell on the outside looking in, but five straight wins have bumped the Minnesota Vikings head coach to first on the odds board.

After losing Kirk Cousins to free agency and first-round pick J.J. McCarthy to a season-ending meniscus tear, the jury was out on the Vikings playoff chances. Still, a 5-0 start has seen O’Connell’s offensive schemes work to Sam Darnold’s benefit.

Time will tell if the magic lasts in Minneapolis.

Dan Quinn (+400 to +490)

Boasting successful stints as a defensive coordinator in Seattle and Dallas — and having led Atlanta to a Super Bowl berth in 2016 — Dan Quinn now has the 4-2 Washington Commanders setting their sights on the NFC East crown.

The Commanders started fast under Quinn, with an assist from first-year OC Kliff Kingsbury — who has second-overall pick Jayden Daniels firing on all cylinders to begin his rookie year.

Jim Harbaugh (+550 to +850)

Boasting a national championship at Michigan and a Super Bowl appearance with San Francisco, Jim Harbaugh has ushered in a new era for the Los Angeles Chargers.

Having failed to reach the postseason in four of their last five seasons, Harbaugh has led the Chargers to a 3-2 start, emphasizing a run-heavy approach to dominate time of possession and keep the ball away from opposing offenses.
