Asked about Real Madrid s plans for the January transfer window, head coach Carlo Ancelotti dismissed all rumours by clearly stating that the club would not be making any signings in the winter.
Carlo Ancelotti on Real Madrid plans for January: “January signings? We’re not interested in winter signings”.
“The squad will remain the same for the rest of the season”.

Having won the La Liga title and their 14th Champions League trophy last season, Real added Aurelien Tchouameni to their ranks as they prepare for a new era concerning their midfield ranks. Casemiro has already left the club, Luka Modric is 37 and closing in on the end of his impressive career. Toni Kroos, at 32, obviously has a few years more to play, but his contract expires at the end of the season.
Real were dealt a significant blow during the summer when Kylian Mbappe, strongly tipped to leave Parc des Princes for the Santiago Bernabeu, chose to sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain and remain in the French capital, and their alternative attacking target, Erling Haaland, had already chosen Manchester City as his destination at that point.
